But wait, what is that flag? Isn’t that the old flag, the one with “Allahu al-Akbar” written between the stars, supposedly in Saddam’s own handwriting?
According to the CIA website, Iraq has had a different flag since 2004, a flag with Kufic style script.
But it looks like all types of scripts are used on the Iraqi flag, this photo from Al-Jazeera:
The one type of script you don’t see is the lovely cursive scripts. I wonder why that is.

Nijma, First off nice name, and second off Khomayne is a name and so is She3a. She3a is Shi’a in english. it is a religious sect in Islam. and the Khomayne is a religous leader but I forget who.
