Lake critters

Sunday I took a look walk to the lake, but didn’t get around to posting the pictures of the critters. Here they are. See if you can identify: grasshopper, cottontail, geese, water bird (sandpiper?), it’s a bird (seagull?), it’s a plane, squirrel in a tree, deer footprint, raccoons on a roof.

I love the raccoons. And the geese.

Both nuisance creatures, but fun to look at.

The geese poop all over the road so that is hard to even walk though the park. When it rains, the poopy runoff goes into the lake, causing a concentration of nutrients in the lake that causes an overabundance of green muck.

The raccoons get into peoples’ garbage cans, not to mention attics. Our next door neighbor in Beverly had a litter of coons above him making noise all night. After they grew up and left, he cut down the tree next to the building they had used to get inside.
